This classy sextet celebrates the music by artists like The Crusaders, Weather Report, David Sanborn, Grover Washington plus vocals from the Bill Withers songbook.

Tom Hill aka Tom Clarke-Hill (the voice of Tony the Tiger) on bass fronts this Grrrrrrreat band which includes Bryan Corbett trumpet, Al Gurr – keys, Andy Shillingford – sax, Lee Jones – guitar and Nick Milward – drums.

New York Brass Band

New York Brass Band at The Blue Room on Saturday the 20th January.

New York Brass Band are at the forefront of the funky brass revolution that is sweeping the UK.

With rumbling tuba, wailing horns and relentless drums this septet packs a powerful punch. No gimmicks, no backing tracks, no auto-tune, this is music that gets people on their feet and a band who make the audience feel part of the show.

Expect a varied repertoire from jazz to pop, reggae to funk, New Orleans to Ska from this skillful band who perform an exceptionally entertaining show.

The Christmas countdown has begun!

And here in Lincoln, the home of Stokes, we are getting ready for the biggest Christmas event of the year, the Lincoln Christmas Market!
Our new Head Office and third Stokes Cafe at The Lawn is now in the heart of the Christmas Market and here’s what we have planned:

Pop-up Shop

Stokes Pop-up Shop will be situated next to Jayne’s Bridalwear and Stokes Lawn Cafe. Here you will find some extra special festive treats such as: stockings and home-ware made from coffee sacks, Stokes home-roasted coffee, Stokes blended tea, Stokes china mugs and scrumptious sweets and biscuits. Why not put them all together to create a Christmas hamper for tea and coffee lovers?!

Stokes Takeaway Station

We have a Stokes takeaway station where you can buy your favourite Stokes tea and coffee to take with you on your journey around the market. Make sure you try our Christmas mulled wine for those who aren’t driving!

Stokes Lawn Cafe is open for business throughout the hours the Christmas Market is open. Serving delicious home-made food and cakes, make sure you warm up in our newest Stokes Cafe!

Blue Christmas

The Blue Room is hosting it’s first Christmas event ‘Blue Christmas’. Take a seat upstairs in the theatre to warm up and enjoy free live music performances all day long on from 7th- 9th December. You can also buy Stokes tea and coffee as well as order light bites to fuel you for the rest of your Christmas Market tour! Oh, and we have a fully licensed bar for those in need of a festive tipple!
