Tea is grown in more than thirty countries and each region produces a leaf with its own particular characteristic. Some characteristics to look out for;
Strength; A tea with a good body. Strong teas can be blended with other teas to give the blend a full flavour.
Briskness; The briskness of a tea is what tea experts refer to when describing a tea, which is refreshing.
Malty; This describes a tea, which has a “caramel” like flavour.
Muscatel; A dry and aromatic flavour.

Ceylon B.O.P. – smallish leaf with a clean strong flavour
Flo’s Mixture – An unusual mixture, originated by a long-standing customer
Fine Assam – An old fashioned tea selected for it’s pungent flavour.
Darjeeling – The champagne of teas exquisite bouquet reminiscent of muscatel.
Keemun – A mild fragrant tea.
Lapsang souchong – A black china tea of great character noted for its “Smokey” or “Tarry” flavour.
Earl Grey - Scented with oil of Bergamot
Rooibos - South African red tea. Contains no artificial colours, no additives or preservatives, no caffeine and is believed to contain up to 50 times more anti oxidant properties than green tea.
Green teas; Jasmine Scented flowers, Green Gunpowder, Japanese cherry, Yulan, Brazilian Mate
Herbal Teas; Chamomile, Mixed fruit, Lemon verbena, Peppermint, Rosehip & hibiscus
Jasmine Flowers – Delicately flavoured green tea from China mixed with Jasmine flowers.
Green Gunpowder - A green China tea. The leaves are rolled into tiny pellets which resemble gun powder. A full bodied smoky flavoured tea.
Japanese Cherry – Cherry flavoured Japanese green tea. A refreshing sweet taste
Brazilian Mate – South American green tea, refreshing and stimulating
Rooibos – South African red tea made from the Rooibos shrub. The needle like leaves are a beautiful red colour
