Rolls-Royce 2017

More than 30 historic Rolls-Royce cars will be on display at The Lawn in Lincoln on June 5.

A collection of vintage and ancient Rolls-Royce cars dating back to the early 1900s, as well as a selection of modern cars, will make their way through the historic city of Lincoln before parking up in front of the iconic building.

More than 63 Rolls-Royce club members and owners are set to travel in the classic cars from all over the country to attend the special day.

The Lawn

The Lawn is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment after it was purchased recently by famous Lincoln coffee specialists, Stokes Tea & Coffee, which is converting The Lawn into a new £1.5 million head office.

Unoccupied for almost a decade, The Lawn has much prominence in the city, and members of the public are looking forward to seeing this famous building being brought back to life.

Work at The Lawn is well underway with a new café, which will seat 60 people inside and much more in the courtyard terrace, and is on track to open its doors at the beginning of June.

The café is just one part of the major restoration scheme of the historic Lawn building, which will also be home to a theatre, restaurant, barista training centre and office spaces.

Once completed, The Lawn, including the café and theatre, will be available for private hire and functions for various events such as conferences and weddings which can be held within the walls of the iconic construction.

The family-run business, founded by Robert William Stokes in 1902, sells a broad range of ethically-sourced artisan teas and coffees that are all processed in Lincoln, including the sourcing, blending, roasting, packaging and distribution.
